Virtual Career Day: Celebrating Black History Month

cafécollege Houston would like to invite you to our virtual Career Day event.


In observance of Black History Month, cafécollege Houston will spotlight African Americans who are making history in their career field.


During this event we will have a panel of guests from various careers that include an, Engineer, Educator, Entrepreneur, a Grammy nominated Music Producer, and Accountant.


Our panelists will be interviewed individually to learn more about the ins and outs of their careers. A sample of the questions we will be covering are below:

  • What is your current occupation?
  • Why and how did you decide this path?
  • What form of education was required?
  • Did/ do you have any mentors or role models that helped you get to where you are?
  • What were some or even current challenges you faced in pursing this career?
  • What’s been the highlight of your career?
  • Encouragement you can share with students who would like to pursue this field.
